Smoke Signals aims to investigate the parallels of nuclear [manmade] forces versus the forces of Nature, both visually and physically (visually, the mushroom cloud created from a nuclear blast and the ash cloud from an erupting volcano are strikingly similar), as well as how anthropocentric our view of Nature has become; The physical power of a volcanic eruption is often compared to the corresponding number of thermonuclear bombs it would take to equal those volcanic forces.
