The exhibition “Matter” aims to create conversations in terms of the traditional and nontraditional materials used in constructing artworks. Artworks include photographs of germs found on a subway platform, bacteria found on book pages, as well as artworks constructed from magazines, baseball cards, ballpoint pen caps, nail polish, fur, neon lights and tissue. All of the works presented in “Matter” transcend the materials through sculpture, collage, photography and installation artwork.

A selection from the "Hotspots" series will be on exhibit at the Broadway Gallery [473 Broadway, 7th floor] in Soho. The exhibit opens October 20, 2011 and runs through the beginning of November. The gallery opening will be 6-8pm on October 20, 2011.

The opening for the Second Year MFA Graduate Student work in conjunction with the TEDX Conference will be November 8, 2010 from 6-8 pm. The exhibition is located in Steuben South Galleries. My piece, "Cultured Texts", is on display, as well as many other wall pieces from second-year MFA students at Pratt. The exhibition will be up all week.
